Guest Anonymous
Hey Folks: I pulled this R160 LSD from an 87AWD Subbie . Does anyone have any idea of the capabilities??...Say maybe for Auto-X in a lightweight 240Z or 510? :rolleyes:o Both are LSD units, both have a 3:7.1 ratio. But if SIZE does count???..The R160 next to the R200, looks like Kobe standing next to Shaq! Anyways, next to the R160 is my R200 LSD for my own Z. I'm also running modified Infinity M30 CV axles, to keep everything "moving"! johnc
Autocross tends to be harder on differentials than track events. The hard acceleration out of tight, low speed corners quickly wears out clutch pack LSDs. An R160 will work but you'll have to inspect it frequently, change the fluid often, and rebuilt the clutch packs at least once per year. Guest Anonymous
Yes these fact are true but will the r160 hold up to the torque of a mild small block?
Guest Anonymous
I would not bet on that 160 holding up behind v8. A big gamble every time you popped the clutch. Suitable for a 4 cylinder or low horse Six
