DRZ man
So I come down to this, Im using a R200, axels, companion flange from a 81 turbo 280zx and a the guts of a 240sx vlsd, after installing the vlsd in the r200 I measure the axel and they are about 14" long comparing to the actual length need to fit, looks like the axel need to be 2" to 3" shorter to get a good fitment, now the question is there a company out there that can provide this kind of service??? axel cutting and welding??? please help, I tryed many local axel shops along with 4x4 shops and the told me it cant be done, any imput or opinion will gladly appreciated. johnc
Try searching the Drivetrain forum. Shortening axles is a fairly common modification.
