EFI to SU'S

I have a 1975 280Z which I am converting to SUs. I have a N42 head and block and the head has the hole for the mechanical fuel pump. What do I need to do if I want to use a 240 mechanical pump? Does the cam pulley or anything on the engine has to be changed or can I just bolt on the mechanical pump???

Thanks in advance..

ok.. now I see it. Thanks jasper. That helps... My engine probably does not have it since its a L28 with EFI. Now I have to find the eccentric.. Do I have to buy the eccentric only or do I have to buy the sprocket and all? Don't know if my question makes sense..

For now SU's seem way to be a cheaper way to run my car. I am planning on using the EFI at some point when I can afford to have my injectors cleaned and to purchase all the sensors and so forth..

I think EFI is a good way to go but you have to be ready to freshen up some of the components which mind you are 30 years old.

Naviathan, pm me on the eccentric. I am in southern california..
