Guest 240Z_72
How do u guys insulate an aftermarket shifter? I have a B&M Z-Gate. I can seal the edges of the mount to the to of the tunnel, but how do you keep the hot air from coming right out the top of the shifter housing? The whole slot is open, is there a rubber sealer missing I wonder? -Kurt
BLKMGK
Cable shifter right? I used duct tape to seal the area around my shifter hole on my stick shift. IF this is a cable shifter then you ought to be able to tape up everything around the cables and seal it up good.
BAlford
I welded a steel box that slips down through the hole in the center hump where the original shifter went for my B&M shifter. I used about 1/6" steel, it has 4 tabs that set on top so I could bolt it down. I made it fit very close on the underside and used silcone calk. Nothing comes through and it is solid.
