Guest 280ZForce
I can't tell you how much fab work cuz I'm not sure, but I may be able to get the hood for you depending how much of a rush you're in to get one. Just bought a bunch of Z molds that includes the GTO kit, I'll be sure to check if the hood mold is there too and I'll let you know soon. Thing is I won't have the molds till late Feb/early March after I make my trip to the north east coast to get them.

Boy from Oz
What you have there is not a Velo Rossa but a 250 GTO coupe kit - the roof of the S30 is retained as the roof of the coupe. The Velo Rossa is a spyder, i.e. open sports car. http://www.kitcarz.com/ . The kit in your photo is from a very early mold, Alpha probably, but a photo of the rear tail-light arrangement may help to identify it further. There is a fair bit of Velo Rossa and coupe information here and people willing to answer questions. http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?t=115734
ZZZeee
You'll need the door skins too. Where did you find it, if you don't mind me asking?
SpeedRacer
Yup, sure looks like part of an Alpha 1 GTO kit to me. http://www.eaglegt.com/index.php?section=eaglegto The Velo Rossa kit has a tilt front end and is a spyder (convertible) version. http://www.reactionresearch.com/automotive.html I am afraid that you are missing lots of pieces. I can think of the following that normally came with the kit: Hood and hinges Front fender access panels Door skins Rocker panels Front fender inner panels Rear fender inner panels Inner rear window panels BTW, Tom McBurnie at Thunder Ranch still sells the kit. http://www.thunderranch.com/gto.html Also, you might want to check out (and post this) in the "Body Kits & Paint" section under "250 GTO Owners" thread. This is a difficult kit to install so you should give it a lot of thought before you start. Here is a picture of my Alpha 1 GTO.
Trevor
My question is I want to know how much fab work is need to install kit, You could order the installaton manual from Reaction Research, http://www.reactionresearch.com/ordering.html it will give you a good idea of the amount of labor involved. But, as Speed said, you don't have a Velo Rossa kit, so it might not answer every aspect of the build.
Pharaohabq
wow those kits look really cool. The Kit on that page says 150-175 hours of fab time to get one put together. that's a lot of work. it would be really cool. 3 grand + the car and engine that's a lot, but pretty darn sweet. Good luck with your build. Phar
ZZZeee
Hey SpeedRacer... I hope to have my old Alpha 1 looking a sweet as yours soon. My shorts get tight everytime I see a GTO that nice... must have something to do with those sweet voluptuous curves.
SpeedRacer
Always happy to provide some inspiration ZZZeeee. Just keep working at it and it will happen. And yes, I agree completely agree with you, the GTO has one very sexy and very distinct body. Pharaohabq, don't believe everything you read. You would be hard pressed to prep the car and body in that time.

I would assume they meant you started with a pristine S30. if I had the $$$$ and the to do that to my Z I might consider it. I know I don't have the skill.
