KingsKid
Trying to hoist my motor to change the oil pan. I have the factory manual and they show brackets called engine slings. They are not good drawings because it doesn't even show were exactly they mount. I don't have the brackets and was woundering how to hoist my motor up so I can get this oil pan changed. Any help? If you have any pics would be awsome. I tried searching the forums but didn't find anything.
rise
you can hoist from a number of spots I sometimes use the ex manifold studs if the ex is removed but in your case eisiest might be to sling a strap or chain around the mounts and over the top. Comrade_Charlie
I use the little bracket that extends above the powersteering, and the little bracket on the driver head with the 2 holes in it, just run a bolt through the hole with it going through a chain. done it like that everytime I lift a vg out.
