rackolamb1
Hi All, I'm almost done installing my 2nd gen RX7 oil cooler with the 280zxt oil filter adapter plate from an 83 turbo with auto trans. I know the flow on the oil cooler side, but I cannot find what fitting is in and out on the block side? I've searched and have been unable to find anything. I assume it matters. Thanks in advance. Challenger
If you know what side of the oil cooler itself is the "in" side I can go trace the hose...
rackolamb1
The side of the oil cooler is the "inlet" and the top or bottom, depending on mounting, is the "outlet". So I believe I need to know where the side "inlet" connection goes to on the adapter (middle or offset position). Thanks
rackolamb1
Challenger, have you had a chance to trace your oil lines? Thanks.

Challenger
Its hard to tell but it looks like the rear oil line coming out of the sandwich plate goes into the side of the oil cooler.
rackolamb1
That coincides with what a buddy of mine thinks too. I believe the center of the adapter is the "inlet" going into the engine, and the offset line is the "outlet".. Thanks for checking.
