Weld up the spider gears (using the proper alloy welding rod, the JTR manual has the correct one) and the only thing you will have to worry about are the U joints. Guest Anonymous Posted November 24, 2002 Share Posted November 24, 2002 Depends, if you are going to drag race the car. I would say no, if your just driving on the street it should be no problem. The problem i had with the R-180 was the stub axels breaking inside the differential right where the splines end .
