marcus70ZT Posted December 10, 2002 Share Posted December 10, 2002 just wanted to share what i found out about the nissan T5 tranny and the gear oil/ATF issue since i've seen some mis-information in the past. i just picked up a pretty nice 82ZXT with a 5 speed (for $400!) so i've been recearching... It has nothing to do with the roller bearing. Gear lube will not flow properly in that box. Rather than mess with people's opinions or second hand info , the FACTORY overhaul manual states Dextron II or III for both transmissions.
