KG78Z
Which gear ratio works best with a turbo engine 3.7 or 3.9. Thanks for the Help KG78Z
fl327
3.54, 3.36 is the best i think for high horse turbo, but rare. 3.7 is ok, but its the only way to get a lsd in there factory style so liveable. 3.90- you dont need that much gear back there, you will spool too fast and not be able to boost as much. ianz
What trany are you working with?? I think that an 81-83 ZX 5 speed (originally fitted with a 3.9 rear) mated with a 3.7 LSD would be Ideal for a turbo given your tire dia. is around 25 inches...... Earlier trannys have higher ratios thus requiring the lower rear ratios....... Thoughts anyone??
KG78Z
I am using a 81-83 zx 5 speed, and for what it is worth which ever rear diff that I use I plan on putting a Phantom Grip in it, so soon I will have some feed back on that to.
