Beau M
Are they the same as the coupe? Or are my only options to fab new ones by hand or weld in something completely different, A-Team style?
Challenger
Their different. I ended up just welding in my own, but it might be easier to modify a coupe piece to weld it. Just enought to get the shape of the front edge. To bad I sold my basically rust free 2+2 parts car last summer, I wanted to cut off the quarters since they were so nice but never got to it... langfordchuck
My solution was to buy the one for the regular 260z, cut it roughly in the centre and weld in an extension. This saves fabricating the curved edges, and it is a simple weld. The metal was heavier than stock as well: good solid piece (can't recall the vendor but i could look). Beau M
Thanks for the tips, I have some thinking to do. Got any close up pics of yours Challenger? I think making my own will be the way to go, as I am doing ZG flares and a custom roll pan as well.
Challenger
Well close ups wont do much good I dont think. It was all painted... I think I have pics of it in the process, Ill look for them. And consider yourself warned, it wasnt pretty.... Here they are, again its not great, the body shop ended up cleaning it up a little bit before it was painted, but hey It was really my first shot at welding and I was 15.
