Guest zfan Posted August 10, 2000 Share Posted August 10, 2000 I'VE JUST INSTALLED AN ELECTRIC FAN IN MY Z. IT IS A 16 INCH, PULL NOT PUSH. I TOOK THE OLD SHROUD OFF WHEN TAKING OLD STOCK FAN OFF, PROBLEM IS IT SEEMS TO BE RUNNING VERY HOT, MORE SO THAN BEFORE. DID I MAKE A MISTAKE WHEN REMOVING SHROUD, I CAN EVEN FAB MY OWN SET UP IF NEED BE. ANY IMPUT WOULD BE APPRECIATED!! THANKS MIKE Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Fast Frog Posted August 10, 2000 Share Posted August 10, 2000 zfan: I would definately fab some kind of shroud if you can. I got several Zs and here in Grand Junction. In the summer (like as we speak), the temps get into the low 100's. I have noticed 20-30 degrees cooler engine temps with a shroud over no shroud.
