Drove a gt500! :)

So an older friend of mine bought an 07 gt500 a couple months ago and managed to total it before I got to even see it. So he ended up getting another brand new one and I asked for a ride this afternoon. I was suprised when he handed me the keys. Awesome car and pretty fast... its gonna make my 280zxt feel boring now.

 

His son bought the old car from the insurance and is trying to sell it for a profit, engine is in perfect condition, would make a great hybrid.. Ill try to get some pics of it.

Yeah, they are quick, in 07 I got a ticket in one of those, I used to work for a ford dealership and drove most of the new gt500 just for the heck of it, now I work for nissan and I have to say the gtr is twice more fun.

Yeah I got 2 tickets this week and right as I pulled out of the parking lot I heard sirens and I about pissed my pants but it was just a fire truck. I was relieved..

I've taken a couple of those on test drives at work. They're bad about the clutches in the rear end making noise (at least from what we've seen), so I have to test every driving scenario to duplicate the noise . Honestly, I was expecting a bit more from them, but turn the TCS off and 2nd gear lights up without trying. They're fun, and the blower whine is exhilarating, but other than that, it's just another mustang...to me anyways. Maybe it's because I drive so freakin' many of them. I personally prefer the '03 / '04 Terminators, but that's me.
