frank280zx Posted May 21, 2009 Share Posted May 21, 2009 honestly a bigger tb will add throthle response and that is about it on a stock engine, same goes for the filter.. Now if you where to build an engine with a cam, ported head, higher CR levels .. Then yeah a bigger intake and air filter does work. For instance a stock canon tripple weber manifold outflows (from the top of my head) a stock intake by about 30 to 40 cfm.. What im trying to say is that it is a complete package that works together. An engine is a big airpump where parts a balanced together to work as a whole. to get more power that whole system has to be 'tuned' so bigger intake means port job, more CR headers exhaust .. and fuel delivery Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
