Globerunner513
I'm pretty excited. I started working for an Airline a few months ago, which is based out of Las Vegas. Finally getting around to using my flight benefits and am flying down and meeting a friend there, spending a couple nights in the MGM then coming back. Should be a blast:mrgreen: This is my first time down there. I know a few of you live there, or might have visited before? Any suggestions? Probably just gonna stick to the strip, but I'm sure there's no shortage of sights and sounds.

fhptom
Once you get there Vegas dictates itself. Believe me you will not have to look hard to find things to do even if you do not gamble. Have fun. Tom
Beau M
I just got back, went last weekend. If its your first time, just enjoy yourself. If you get a chance, go to the Imperial Palace and check out the cars. Its cheap and amazing, they had a 14.5 million dollar GT40 that should still be there. Sticking to the strip is not a bad idea, but if you want to get sloppy drunk for cheap and have a great time, go hit Fremont. They have a live band every night, its pretty cool. Most of all, have fun, and wear sunblock.
Scottie-GNZ
Just got back from a couple of days at the MGM. All I can see is WOW! The size of that hotel is overwhelming, e.g., 5500 rooms! Don't know what you are into, but check out the lobby of the Luxor and the interior of the Venetian. Caught the Cirque d' Soleil (sp?) show at the Bellagio. Very expensive but the theater itself was almost worth the price of admission. If you have never seen the Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon, definitely worth it. For me, seeing Vegas was one of those things I can now check off and say "been there, done that". Too crowded and the peddlers hawking shows and prostitutes got annoying. You will see what I mean. Beau M
For the pegglers hawking shows, just say "Im a local" and they will back off. We go down about every 6 months or so. There is just so much to do... the last time we went to the Grand Canyon (AMAZING) and the nuclear testing museum, as well as the normal strip activities. There is just so much to do, and things change so fast.
