Guest Anonymous
Pertronics is the name. Its a decent system, goes in a point distributor and replaces the points with a sensor. Easy to hook up, works good and is under 100.00. Pertronics also makes HEI's, look in Summit Racing or Jegs (http://www.summitracing.com or www.jegs.com) for the pertronic stuff. jeromio
The other points replacement option is the Crane Fireball. I have this in both my Z (L28) and my wife's International truck. It's fairly cheap (around $100), and was very easy to install. It uses an optical pickup - I believe the pertonix is magnetic. They have a fancy one that varies duration and such, but it's more $$$ and I haven't tried it.
jimzdat
Zach, I don't know exactly where in CA you're at, but I bought my Pertronix "Ignitor" setup from Dave Turner Motorsports down in San Diego--800.854.6640 www.daveturner.com If I remember right, I paid around 80 bucks for it, but that was also a few years back, so it may have gone up...
