I have a 4:11 gear in my Z, the tranny from these years has a 0.745 5th gear. My 77 5 speed has a 0.864 5th gear. 550 rpm difference at 80 mph. That's 130 more rpm's than the 81-83 tranny at 80mph on my app. When you have a 4:11 rear it's a big difference. What kind of price are you asking and what is the condition and milage on the unit? borini63 Posted July 13, 2009 Share Posted July 13, 2009 Pulled out from ricked 10th AE with only 74K miles in great condition but needs cleaning from the out side,it has one ear...I have the original clutch kit also I have a brand new clutch kit. I drained the oil it was clean and no metal pieces on the magnet...... I saved it for my 78 280 but sold the car and I don't need it now. I will take you offer.
