Guest Glenn Parker
I want to first thank you all for the fan help. How I've got another question. I removed four wires from the manual trans,Datsun, 5sp on my 72, in prep for the t-5 and sbc. The first 2 wires were the same length and green, the other 2 wires are red with a dark stripe and are a foot longer than the greens. All four were bundled together and said, "tranny" on the tape label I made four months earlier.I made detailed records of all the other wires but missed these. The shop manual does not offer to much and I am hoping to get the back up lights functioning. Has anyone dealt with this? I'm getting close to putting the motor in and running and I'm trying to take care of all the loose ends. Thanks :
Dan Juday
The red/black wires are the reverse switch. Can't help you on the green.
BLKMGK
I believe you can ignore the other two. I had them as well and recall just bundling them up unused. Auto trans park switch maybe?
pparaska
If the red are the reverse switch (I can't remember which is which), then the green is the neutral safety switch hookup. PLEASE hook this up. We've already heard from one guy who didn't and has a fence imprint on his car .
