nelson rodriguez Posted August 6, 2009 Share Posted August 6, 2009 need to locate source of these wires, they are causing me problems. for some reason they are not getting any current and they are giving me starting problems. what is the green wire and what is the red +,-, please advice. oh and it's a 77 280z. They run from the VR sensor (variable reluctor) in your distributor, straight to the ignition module (passenger side kick panel). The VR sensor is the 'trigger' for your electronic ignition. nelson rodriguez Posted August 16, 2009 Author Share Posted August 16, 2009 well i havent had any problems since. well my car would not turn on unless i poked at those wires with a tester. the pointy one that you clip to a ground and the light comes on. so far it has worked without doing that. thanx i havent checked my emails since.
