terrya
Need to remove trim for body work. The trim is the one that runs along top of the car and ends at the bottom corner of the rear side window. If anyone knows how to remove this,, it would be greatly apprectiated. Looked in the fsm but it did not seem to be there. thanks!
terrya
"Bump" Any ideas! Don't want to ruin it, doing it the wrong way.
datsun79z
Terrya; The trim you are referring too is held on by sheet metal screws which are inaccessible without first doing preliminary dismantling. To gain access to them you must remove the interior body pieces. If memory serves me correctly you have to start by removing the metal scuff plates first. Continue removing the interior parts one at a time until the inside back panels are off. You will then be able to access the sheet metal screws holding the exterior molding on. terrya
Thanks for the reply, wish I knew that last week. I had all the back interior out for other things, then took a good day fighting to get it all back together. There's no way I'm ready to go thru that again I'll keep this in mind for later. For now I'll just try to work around it.
datsun79z
Terrya The interior comes out easier each time it is removed. I know. I've removed mine 3 times.
