Guest zcars74 Posted March 14, 2002 Share Posted March 14, 2002 Yesterday while driving my 260z I noticed a drop in idle speed and I also noticed that my fuel gauge was all the way to the right. What I found is that my rear fuel pump stopped working but what I can't figure out is why that affected the fuel gauge. what do you think this could be? electrical? johnc Posted March 15, 2002 Share Posted March 15, 2002 Yes. Check fuses, battery, engine and chassis grounds, alternator, relay, etc. I would most likey suspect a bad chassis ground. Look for a braided steel or copper strap connecting the engine to the chassis on the passenge side. Also check the ground for the fuel pump.
