Vette Powered
Has anyone ever heard of this? I bought some header gaskets from PepBoys and ran the car for about 10 minutes. The gaskets smoked like they were on fire and then shattered while I was driving it 5 minutes later. Strange... They turned into pottery!!! bodie
im guessing you were using the cheap paper gasket, if using those you have to retighten them several times. i usually tighten and keep checking each bolt as the car warms up. and after a quick drive. but its just easier to get the steel/graphite or copper gasket. Pyro
For the collector, use the dark grey gaskets that autozone sells. They have a metal wire core. at the head/header interface, use felpros for stock applications. little metal gaskets that fit each port.
