Guest ttoude
My oil pressure dropped to zero at stop lights and went back to 63psi about 45 miles from home and I had no chose but to finish the drive home. Now I got pretty good blue smoke. My Question; Can I have some input on if you think the head is still viable after an oil pressure loss event? Gonna inspect the valve train for damage this afternoon My Options; A friends got a couple blocks etc. Local junkyard has a 5 Z's 2 with complete motors Did some L28 research and found good news on mix and matchin in the s30's I needed a spare motor ANYWAY just wasnt looking to do this job while selling my house Just looking for ideas and suggestions here I understand that there are no concrete answers
Xnke
replace the pump, get new bearings and rings, check the head out real good. You should be good, if the head is ok.
