zx_drift
Hey I just did a turbo swap into my '82 280ZX (N/A) It is an '81 motor with a '82 harness and ECCS. Everything is hooked up, and I have fuel (can hear the fuel pump priming). I go to start, and I have no spark. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Guest Rolling Parts
Are you using an 82 dizzy or the 81 CAS?
xShodaimex
81 crank uses [CAS]crank angle sensor to fire plugs. unlike 82/83.
GrayZee
1. is your coil/ignitor grounded? 2. with the ignition on do you get +12v at the + side of the coil? 3. did you hook up the yellow wire from the ecu to the coil ignitor properly? zx_drift
ok update... I have spark now. It is an 81 crank trigger (on the front pulley). Now it doesnt start. I got it to start kind of, but it sounded like it was only running at 100rpms or is was missing on most of the cyl. Not really sure.
GrayZee
Sounds like you might have air flow meter issues
zx_drift
Air flow meter tested good. So it is retarding the timing when you rev the engine instead of advancing it. Any ideas?
