Negligence
My first plan of action after getting my new z is cleaning and derusting the engine bay and respraying it. Besides sand paper, degreaser and a ton of elbow grease, anything else i should keep in mind to help the process? I was thinking about something like this, but im not sure if its overkill or not http://www.sears.com/shc/s/p_10153_12605_00961090000P?vName=Tools&cName=Portable+Power+Tools&sName=View+All
DatsunKing1
If you have the ability to yank the motor and clean the WHOLE engine bay, I would do it if I were you. Otherwise, degreaser, elbow grease and a ton of soap and water will be sufficient. If it's rusty/damaged, the dremel kit may be a worthy purchase if you don't have an angle/disc grinder, which is what I used. Try seeing if your neighbours have a dremel tool kit before you go out and purchase one Best of luck!! DK1
Negligence
i actually do have an angle grinder that works well, and the car is a rolling chassis, no motor or trans to worry about taking out, all i have to be concerned with is what i put into it
trwebb26
Angle grinder fitted with a knotted wire wheel (the radial kind - not the cup mount) - it'll take off 95+% of the old paint/rust/undercoating/gunk in your engine bay.
