Anyone procharged LS1?

Recommended Posts

I am toying with the idea of going procharged once my swap is complete next year. I was wondering if anyone on this forum has done it and if so which unit do you use? The GTO unit looks like it will fit but I'm not 100% sure. Thanks in advance.

personelly, i think the C5 kit will fit better

I like where the C5 kit mounts it but running the ic piping will be tricky. I like how the f-body kit can point the outlet of the charger up where it will just require a simple 90 bend to the front mount..

I have to call them up and see if they have a schematic or something with dimensions to see it either will fit in the engine bay nicely without cutting of the body.

I saw a 99 camaro with an f1-r setup and it was TIGHT to the motor. If I remember correctly it was on the lower passenger side. If you know alittle about prochargers then you know a f1-r is one of the big ones. I wouldn't see why that wouldn't fit into a z. I would go to ls1tech and look at pictures guys have and ask them for mesurements of the charger off the engine block.
