nz_zx Posted December 3, 2009 Share Posted December 3, 2009 Hey, I have been looking on the internet to try and find information on this but i cannot seem to find anything. I am restoring a 280zx with a gen 1 chevy 383 and have found a cheap z33 6 speed gearbox. I heard that people use these boxes with fords but was wondering if it would be possible within reason to mount it with this engine and if there was anything out there you can buy to help. I was also wondering what sort of power these boxes can hold and if there is anything out there to strengthen them. I appreciate any information anybody could give me. The cost of conversion may exceed the difference between selling the Nissan tranny to offset the cost of a T56 from GM. Just my thoughts.
