Guest Anonymous
Lately I have seen several custom cars with what looks like aluminum and stainless radiator hoses which look really trick. Can these be made at home adn what material should I use? The Jeg's flexible stainless hose is not for me (or my wallet), and I like the look of custom formed tubing better. johnc
Maybe... aluminum or stainless tubing?
Dan Juday
It would need to be flexable. Is what you have seen corrigated? Maybe a thin corrigated tubing over the rubber hose? Unless the engine is ridgidly mounted The tubing/hoses must be flexable.
BLKMGK
I have one of these from http://Hardpipes.com on my Supra. It still flexes,it has flexible couplers like intercooler tubing does. Seems to work pretty well but my motor doesn't move much...
Guest Anonymous
Yeah, the hardpipes URL seems to have what I am looking for. Wonder how you size for a custom hybrid. Might be tough. The ones I have seen all have flexible ends mostly what looks like regular rubber hose ends 3-4 inches on each side with 2 stainless steel hose clamps to attach. I have also seen corrugated in Jegs, and I think they have rubber ends also. Steve
