Mycarispurty
Just curious if anyone makes these or if it's strictly up to the person wanting to do the swap to have one fabbed up?
Beau M
I think you just have to make one. I am trying a different route, with a mount from Speedway Motors. I should be test fitting it in the next month or two. I just put pics of it up today, check it out: http://forums.hybridz.org/showthread.php?p=1103278#post1103278
Mycarispurty
Yeah I saw those. Was doing lots of looking at those the other day. Also entertaining the idea of getting an old mid 50s-early 60s F100 that a Windsor style motor or 385 series motor wasn't in, so no factory mounts are available. 73BOTIZ
I have a crossmember that I have sold to many of the HybridZ members. It was sold as an "alsil" mount. You can do a search for threads and I can send you a pic if your interested. Mike D.
NeoTokyo
Does anyone have any pictures of mounts for a Z32 of any non VG30? I would like to keep a photobank of different mounts.
Beau M
Small update, I just want to put this nugget out there for anyone that searches the site for info on the speedway motors universal 302 mount. You can make it work, but when the engine is at installed height, the tubes that would idealy go to the frame rails are pointed directly at the TC rod buckets. I don't reccomend doing what I did, because I'm a newb and ignorant, but I cut "windows" out of my buckets so I could use some 1/8" plate to extend my frame rail down to meet the tube. I will post pics soon, but it's not pretty. It is solid though.
