    Mike D.

  3. I have a crossmember that I have sold to many of the HybridZ members. It was sold as an "alsil" mount. You can do a search for threads and I can send you a pic if your interested. Mike D.
  4. I have what you are looking for.I can send you som pics if you still need these items. I am in the Nor Cal. Mike
  5. Here are some dimensions for you. Overall from inner flange to outside of threads = 6" Inner flange to the beginning of the splines = 3-3/4" Inner flange to the end of the splines = 5-1/8" I used the axles with turbo companion flanges and cv axles, before I switched to 280Z axles, and I don't have any stock R180 companion flanges to measure for you. Hope this helps, Mike D
  6. I removed the one on my Q45 R230 without removing the rear cover. I just removed the pinion nut and used a 3 finger bearing puller. Mike D.
  7. You can file a fraud complaint on e-bay. I had to do this once and was able to get most of my money back. All the info you need is on their website. Good luck, Mike D.
  8. Tim, I also want a pair of shafts. Let me know what you need as far as payment or deposit. Thanks, Mike D.
  9. I have a complete rear end assy. drum to drum from a 78. Make me an offer for the moustache bar. Mike D.
  10. Good job Mike, see you at the track. Mike D.
  11. Thanks for the info Tim, I didn't think about that. I do appreciate all of your info on this swap, it is very helpful. Mike, I hope to get to the track in March. I am installing frame connectors at the moment. I also want to get some Drag radials because it is frustrating going up in smoke in the first 3 gears. The next you have your car up in the air, do you think it would possible for me to swing by and take a look at your front mount? Mike D
  12. I just finished my adapters so I thought I would post some pics of the finished parts. I usually don't have much luck posting pics, so if they do not come up, they can be viewed here http://www.datsunracing.com/z/73botiz As soon as I get another pair of cv's, I will start the installation and fab a front mount. Mike D.
  13. I have bought products from a local company in Rancho Cordova Ca. Specialty Design Products. They have anything you need in either stainless or mild steel. I'm not sure if they have a website but their address is: SPD 11252 Sunco Drive Rancho Cordova, CA. 95742 916-635-8108 e-mail specpro@msn.com They have a free catalog that lists all of their items. Mike D
  14. I installed mine and it was not hard at all. I did have the rear end on the bench at my shop which made it much easier. I did have to surface grind a small amount off of the Phantom Grip so it would fit between the spider gears. I also dis-assembled the unit and counterbored the spring pockets and installed stronger springs. Mike D.
  15. Thanks, for this info Tim. I will be getting a pair shortly. Mike D
  16. I lucked out with mine.JoshB 240Z found one at the locala Pick and Pull and told me about it. His brother Jeremy took the time to take it out for me beforf someone else got it and it only cost me $59.00. I went back and got the axles for $52.00. Mike D.
  17. Did you get your rear end problem solved since that night at Infineon? I picked up an R230 and would be interested in seeing what you did for a front mount on the diff.Your Z is going to be sweet with the LS1. Mike D.
  18. I picked up these a couple of weeks ago for the rear. Mike D
  19. Alex, I was thinking about mounts after leaving your place on the way to Ernie's(racer-x) house. If you or Rob could make a sketch of the RX-7 mounts(the plate only where it bolts to the block)or send them to me, I could draw what I have in mind. I would rather you go to a single turbo if possible rather than notch your frame rail. If you really want to keep the 2 turbos, we could tow it to my shop and we could cut into the frame rails and TIG weld reinforcement into the notched frame. If you are dead set on this and are willing to spend some extra bucks, It will go in. Mike D.
  20. Hi all, I am the person who fabricates the 'Alsil' mount. Since my Z doesn't have a Ford motor in it, I depend on the Ford guys for input. Any suggestions and/or sketches that would make this mount work better would be appreciated. If anyone needs me to alter their mount in any way, just send it back to me with instructions and I will take care of it. When Al and I first created this mount, keeping the oil pan above the crossmember was what we wanted to do, since Al's car was lowered a little and street driven. Take care, Mike D.
  21. MAS280, I was at the starting line. You left really hard and it looked like you were on your way to another 11 second pass, when I saw a slight shudder and a few sparks from underneath. Ithought at first that you had dropped a driveshaft. I am glad that it happened when it did and not at 100 mph. Thanks for the rear end info. Mike D
  22. I looked around for you after you broke to see if you needed a hand, but I couldn't find you. Hopefully you get it fixed soon. If you can remember the name of the site for locating the r230, please let me know. Mike D
  23. I am in Pinole, not far from you. Mike D.
  24. I have the same cell also. I fill mine through the inside also, it is not a big deal since i don't drive it everyday. I ran a vent line to the outside and have never had a gas odor.
  25. I have the engine out of my bosse's Pantera in my garage. I was planning on putting it in another Z, but every time I get a good one, I end up selling it before I get a swap started. Maybe I will look for an early Falcon or Fairlane.
