Thanks!!.....I took those pix when I was down in Florida to visit my dad and go to a hondaprelude.com meeting smile.gif....my project for next summer is going to be a 240Z with *some* sort of swap, so I need to start looking for a good donor car now smile.gif....just wanted to make sure that I wanted a 240 and not a 260/280.....

Hi Scottie!

Yes, we chatted very briefly smile.gif, but mostly just about how cool I thought the car was.....it was the first time you had gotten it to the strip (6/4/2000...I think?) and you said you were having problems with the engine twisting the chassis, or something like that, and ran like a 12.4 in the 1320' smile.gif...I was out there at the drag strip with a group from hondaprelude.com....I was almost completely positive your car was a 240Z, but couldn't remember exactly and thought I'd post on this site to make absolutely sure smile.gif...Tom only took engine pix of the car, so I didn't have any side views to refresh my memory.....

I'd love to hear how the car is coming along if you want to drop me an email or something smile.gif....It was, after all, what convinced me that I wanted an engine-swapped Z car of my own!

Brian, sorry if I do not remember you specifically, but I remember the first visit to the track for the GN setup and talking to a lot of folks. I was still running the stock motor mounts and had no way to tie down the engine. The GN makes a lot of low end torque and the DP was actually hitting against the strut tower under power. I just wanted to see what the car would do and was easing it off the line.

I have since gotten a polyurethane motor mount to fix that problem and to date have gone 11.50 @ 120+ and scaring the hell out of 10s biggrin.gif
