draztik280
I need help regarding about my 280z. The car starts fine and idles great, but when I start to accelerate above 2000 rpm, the engine started to jerk. It feels like its cutting fuel. I checked the distributor cap, its fine no moisture. all the spark plugs are hooked up fine. I can't figure out what's the problem. Probably bad fuel filter? or condenser? I attached a video below. Thanks. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0O301Dl6WwA
leftover z
I'd put in a new fuel filter first as they often are overlooked, and a cheap fix. Then go from there if the problem persists.

draztik280
I will check this tps problem? should I just replace a new one then?
leftover z
If the new fuel filter didn't help, you can check your TPS. If it got water in it, dry it out with WD-40 or compressed air.
draztik280
Thanks. Im fixing it right now. Finally got it to work. I did replace the fuel filter, but it was still the same. I then tried and open the Throttle Position Sensor. I sprayed some WD40 and let it dry for an hour. Now, the hesitation was gone. Thanks everyone for the help. finally get to drive the Z again here in sunny CA. Edited March 9, 2010 by draztik280
