Zcardiesel
Looking for a cast iron turbo adapter piece that will bolt onto a stock N/A manifold outlet to T3 adapter flange. This would be the adapter I guess that was for aftermarket turbo kits used back in the day before the turbocharged cars came out. There is one on Ebay now, but asking almost $200 "buy it now" for it is may too much to pay in my opinion. Looking to buy an adapter to bolt onto an LD28 diesel exhaust manifold to allow me to bolt on a turbo fairly easy. If I can't find an adapter to use, I guess a stock 81-83 280ZX turbo manifold would work. Just requires me to grind parts of the manifold at the port flanges to mount on an LD28 diesel head. I'd much rather try to buy and use the adapter piece on a N/A manifold as I think it'd be easier to install a turbo. Thanks. Sal
JSM
I've thought of this for awhile. Can u post the eBay link? Buy it and get it mass produced.
JSM
I found it: http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/280Z-Fairlady-Z-car-Turbo-Adaptor-T3-flange_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQhashZitem2eab926221QQitemZ200446992929QQptZMotorsQ5fCarQ5fTruckQ5fPartsQ5fAccessories That is for the N42 stock exhaust manifold I think. I don't car for the design that much but I'm sure it works.
Zcardiesel
Yea, the design isn't the best but it still does get the job done. Just pretty much consider it a removable turbo flange instead of fixed to an exhaust manifold. Reason I'm looking for one like this is I can just use the stock diesel manifold I got on my engine instead of having to mount/adapt a 280ZX turbo manifold (as I'm almost positive I've read everyone that tried it said you need to grid on it to fit on the diesel head).
