yetterben Posted March 15, 2010 Share Posted March 15, 2010 (edited) so i pulled my car out today for the first time in about 6 months. Over the winter i put on a new oil pump for my turbo build. So i decided to crank the motor over buy hand and heard a strange noise. its a metallic dunk every few turns close to the compression stroke i can snap the ratchet and get the noise a few times kinda like in a jerking motion. I am wondering if it is because it has sat for so long and all the oil is washed off the bearings and i am hearing them slide around. It is louder when i take the oil cap off but just more distinct. Now the car ran fan before storage so i am just kinda paranoid i guess. I did thread a an fitting into the pan about 3/4 inch down where the stock turbo drain is.
