6sec 6cyl Posted March 16, 2010 Share Posted March 16, 2010 Ok so i'm running a l28 turbo and wanting to use z32 coilpacks and ignitor with my megasquirt II v3.57. Reason i'm waiting to use those coilpacks and that ignitor is because i have about 20 or so coilpacks laying around and about 3 ignitors if my memory serves me correctly. But what i'm wanting to know if anybody has tried this setup before. I believe the Rb series motors use around the same coilpacks (just with the coil mounted a little differently) and the same ignitor (maybe a few wiring differences. I have wired up my megasquirt according to the manual and ran a makeshift bench test using the stimulator as an rpm input. And i got fire, but my ignitor got hot really really quick. What i'm really trying to get to is.... - If you got your setup to work using those components what was your ignition settings. - And can you still use Launch control?
