littlecrow
Sorry if this is in the wrong spot but I'm not sure where to put it anymore. I was wondering what is the best way to paint the rear calipers on the Z31, because the last time I painted my rear calipers I sprayed the calipers with brake parts cleaner, tapped off the piston and the emergancy brake lever, and then sprayed a cupple coats of paint on the caliper, it looked good on the car but a few weeks later I took a look under the car to fix a sticky brake and noticed that the whole emergancy brake spring and lever were coated in rust, so what I'm asking is what is the best way to paint the rear calipers and keep them from rusting. Thanks
cockerstar
You should use a brake caliper paint kit. They're available from most auto parts stores and are under $25. I've heard good things from the duplicolor brand.
MazterDizazter
Lube up the spring assembly once you've painted the calipers; should help prevent the rust.
littlecrow
Yeah, I'll try to oil the assembly up with something, but I also thought about just painting the whole thing but I wasn't sure if that would be wise.
