Challenger
So the wipers dont work on my 81 turbo, I really dont have to time to find the issue and make them work with the normal switch on the console so I was thinking there might be a way to "hot wire" the wipers to work from just a toggle switch. I really dont need wipers, but want them to work just in case. Id want them to just be on the highest setting. I was looking at the plug that goes into the wiper motor in the engine bay. Would there be a way to run power to that plug through a toggle switch or would that make it where the wipers wouldnt go back and forth? Also if you have any tips on getting them working a different way let me know. Some of the stuff in the dash doesnt work, radio, ac/heater, so I dont know if it could be a single problem that wiped all of them out. The arm with all of the light switches works fine so everything isnt broken. All the fuses in the cabin look fine. Any help is appreciated! Thanks! crazyoctopus
check the wiring diagram, and then start jumping wires to your battery to see what wire gives the fast speed. This is what i am going to be doing with the honda wiper motor. also put a relay in the circuit so that can be ground switched.
Challenger
Anyone have any idea on how to tell which pins on the motors wiring plug is which? There are like 10 different wires going into the motor and I dont want to fry the motor hitting the wrong two wires. Challenger
I think I found out what it was, when I originally pulled the plugs on my relays behind the glove box I didnt notice anything wrong. But once I was able to actually pull them out I noticed that the fuel pump relay and the accesory relay have one tab that was rusty and broke off inside of the connector/plug. Im going to go to pick and pull and grab the two relays off of my old 81 which I found there. haha Ill be sure to bring the car by if I get it on the road soon.
