thewaiverproject
When starting from cold, the engine is idles rough and the vacuum is in the -15 to -12 range, varying in that range a little bit. When warming up it goes slowly down to -19 -20 and the engine runs fine. I checked but didnt find any vacuum leaks. Unless i missed something, is there somewhere it tends to leak for this type of problem? Or might it be my settings on my SDS fuel controller. Maybe the start up fuel numbers are wrong( but i've tried lowering and increasing it to no avail) could too much fuel or too little cause vacuum to stay at -12 ? i dont think so right? jasper
The HIGHEST (IN/HG) vacuum you can attain, at any given throttle opening, is essentialy the confirmation of a properly tuned/carburated/adjusted engine,(regarding the fuel system) Ignition timing will cause vacuum to vary considerably. http://www.secondchancegarage.com/public/186.cfm Edited April 19, 2010 by jasper
