Just FYI: Here is some info on body mods and the CA Vehicle code.

Looks like marker lamps are not required:

marker lamps section

Tail lights section

Parking brake requirements

Windows and mirrors requirements

Exhaust systems

Noise limits

Bumper requirements

Arrest quotas

Procedures on equipment violations

Some of this stuff has really put a crimp in my plans. I have a buddy on the local Police force and am going to ask him how much these things are really enforced. Oh well...damn laws!! malebitchslap.giftwak.gifcry2.gifcry2.gifcry2.gifcry2.gif

Yeah I had a buddy that had a T-bucket he bought that was wrecked and he put a new front end and the whole bit on it. Hot little 327 with a TH350, probably weight about 1200 pounds and it was scary as hell to ride in (sitting up in the air with the wind blowing over your head, no rollbar, tall bench seat.). He finally sold it because every time he took it out he got pulled over and they'd go through the book on him. It always checked out, but getting stopped all the time was old so he traded it for a gnarly 455 olds jet boat (that was scary fast too). Once you get behind the wheel you pretty much have given them the right to pull you over anytime they damn well please unfortunately. Probable cause is whatever they want it to be. icon_mad.gif
