Guest Anonymous
I'm looking to widen a fiberglass front end to fit a Z-car. To make the plug, I figure what would be best would be to slice the front end down the center, and then just glass in along the backside of it, which would basically match the contour. Then a crapload of bodyfiller to finish it, quick paint, and I'll be set to make my mold to pull a "proper piece". Will this work?
blueovalz
Sounds like it should work fine for a plug. Your biggest challenge will be creating a jig built to hold and maintain the correct shape of the two separate pieces as you make your splice.
