KnightoftheRound
The rear of the 240Z I just bought is looking pretty nasty. I basically need the slam panel, the area the tail lights bolt to, and the area directly below that. I called up Motorsport Auto and they told me they haven't had that piece in a year, I am not entirely sure what that part is technically called in the first place, searching tail light panel always gets me the pieces that go OVER the tails. Anyone know where to source one of these now? This piece here, I got this off Four Ways Engineering's site, located in Englad. Unfortunately shipping would kill it. cockerstar
I would be looking for someone who is parting a car out to grab the piece from. Drill out the spot welds and everything should come free with a little cutting. If you pull one from a car that's already in decent shape I think you'd be better of for the fitment. nullbound
The only piece I've seen sold is MSA's pricey Lower Rear Repair Panel (which apparently they don't have right now anyway): http://www.thezstore.com/page/TZS/PROD/30-7240 I agree with cockerstar... find a donor car. KnightoftheRound
Thanks for the info guys. Because you can't actually SEE that part of the car (I'm just going for a nice DD), I have decided to just sand blast the area, treat it with POR15, fiberglass it all up, and weld in a new slam panel that I purchased from Z-Specialties.
