75' 280 Fenders fit a 240 ?

Will the fenders from a 75' 280 fit a 240 ? I was thought

I read somewhere that they won't.

I think you're right, only the 260Z ones will fit.

That's whay I have on my 240Z.

I checked both Victoria British and MSA catalogs and found they list the 1970 -78 fenders with the same stock #'s for the right and left side which would indicate that all of them are interchangeable except in respect to left and right side. The only fenders I ever changed were 280's and they interchanged. The MSA and Victoria British are free catalogs and excellant reference guides with Victoria British having the best diagrams of parts.

Thanks guys for the reply. Someone else told me that they

would fit . I was thinking of prepping and painting the

body parts and then installing them. I was told that

might not be a good idea because of fit up problems

later. Might give it a try anyway . I still will have the extra

fenders painted.
