randy 77zt
currently running bpr7es-projected tip resistor common ngk plug.1 heat range colder than stock.my car is a built l28.headed for the dyno on monday.i was thinking of having some br8es(not projected tip) on hand on the dyno day.the tip would be running colder on the br8es.i really dont thinkthose fine wire plugs are the ticket-they are really engineered for 100k milage late model cars.any opinions? 510six
R5671A-8 NGK gapped to .32 using a Ford SHO coilpack with an AEM twinfire CDI. The E85 takes a colder plug and more spark energy to ignite than gasoline. For your setup a set of the same NGK plugs in the 7 heat range would work fine I would gap my plugs down to about .30-.32 http://www.summitracing.com/parts/NGK-4091/
cygnusx1
  I will get flamed for this...In my turbo car at 16psi, I am running cheap factory spec Champion plugs with the "over-kill sized" electrodes ground down and side-gapped.  I use EDIS-6 spark so maybe that's why I can get away with it.  The Weber 240Z is also running stock Champions with a Mallory dizzy.  I intend on going with some NGK's some day but both are running great as is. Edited July 10, 2010 by cygnusx1
