deaconblues
Hopefully this is a really simple question, but I haven't been able to find the answer using search. I have a flooding carb and I think I have a stuck float. I'm trying to remove the cover of the chamber to see inside but the suction chamber housing has this metal tab sticking out that prevents me from fully lifting up and removing the float chamber cover. What am I missing here?
doublez
You should be able to rotate the cover one way or another so that it clears that tab. Then you can just lift straight up I believe.
blue72
Yep, all you've gotta do is wiggle and rotate the lid until it lines up just so and it should come right off.
deaconblues
Yup, I believe the intent was to remove the whole bowl before removing the lid, but I was able to barely get it off by rotating it about 75 degrees CW and tilting it out. Freed up the float and she runs like a raped ape again.. thanks guys
