Ignition map for 240Z running EDIS Megasquirt

Recommended Posts

Have a 240Z 2.4liter engine with down draft webers and I have installed an EDIS ignition system controlled by a mega squirt. Does anyone have a ignition map table for the mega squirt that I can use in this stage of development. The car is a race car and I intend to put it together in stages so I can continue driving and developing: stage 1: add mega squirt controlled EDIS system. Stage 2: remove webers and add 280zx intake mod, including injectors and all sensors. Stage three install 280zx turbo motor over the winter under Mega squirt control.

A little history: Had a '73 with the 280zx motor installed; but it had the old analog control and a gas tank that would intermittently not pick up the fuel, especially on track out turn ins...lost the car on turn 8A at Sears Point, bam! straight into the wall at about 85mph. Now I'm going to try turn 8A again using mega squirt and a fuel cell. Any help would be appreciated and I may have additional mega squirt questions later.

Check the map sharing thread in the Megasquirt sub-forum. It's a sticky.

Thank you for the info; but, I didn't have any luck there. Run my car last weekend and the ignition system was way off. Any one else have a ignition map that could get me in the ballpark>

what is it at currently?

Static 17 degrees; full in of 34 degrees at 2800rpm; 30-32 degrees at 6k.

since the table is in kpas for loading, Don't have a clue about part open settings or while heel and toe(H&T) operation;Have had the engine stall during H&T so would think I need to add more advance there.
