Guest jdllaugh
I've been stripping my car and congratulating myself on finding minimal rust. Then I removed the windshield (in pieces) and found rust lurking under the seals in the A pillars. This scares the pants off me. Mostly it's just surface rust, but there's one spot about the size of a dime that's rusted through about half way up the passenger side. That says to me there's probably rust inside the pillars. Any tips on fixing such a problem? I would hate to have to cut out and replace the A pillars.
Owen
I had the same problem, welded in where I could and plugged some other holes with JB Weld. I would definitely check all around, including rear hatch. Don't want to find it when the car's done! Guest Anonymous
I would consider making whatever repair I could, then douche the cavities with some rust convertor (like Extend).
