VLEE
I was careless when the body shop painted my car, and I ended up getting the wrong color. I'm thinking of reapaint my car into the color I desire. the chassis is preped with fresh paint+clear coat on it, can someone give me an estimate about how much it'll cost me? thanks Z's current color color i want, 2000 Titanium Silver
bjhines
You should not have to pay much more. Figure ~$200 for color and $100 for clear, plus shop materials ~$100. The intensive labor is done. You will have to pay ~8 hours for sanding and masking. You really need them to sand off most of the existing paint. It will be prone to chipping in large chunks if it gets too thick. cockerstar
It looks like the previous shop that did the work did a pretty good job! You might want to consider taking it back to them to have them shoot the new color, since they already did all of the prep work once. A lot of paint shops won't guarantee their work if they didn't do 100% of the job from prep to color, FWIW. I with bjhines on this one, and wouldn't expect you to be more than $1700 out the door after everything is said and done.
