Guest Zachb55
those are the ones i want t ogo with too, heres another pic of them, my only problem is wether i should go two-tone or not... the reason i want them is because the wheels on there stick out a bit and i plan on putting maybe an inch or so wider ones on eventually... i think those are the same ones, they sure are sweet, especially for the $300 or whatever it is from MSA, i know they are alot cheeper then any others... -Zach
Guest Zachb55
Oh Yeah!! almost forgot, the people who were selling the Subtle Z kits put them out of production... i was interested in them but i was a little too late, you can always buy the molds and make your own... DavyZ
Auxilary's car is black...which is why I posted the pic I did. Yep, I also want to go this route--it'll be the cheap way out, but unless I teach myself fiberglassing and bodywork, this is going to be it, Baby. Guest Z-rific
I never had any real experience with fiberglassing and bodywork until about 6 months ago. Now, 4 flare/bodypanels later, I feel pretty comfortable with the process. I personally don't like the look of visible bolts or rivets on my fenders, so I always recommend glassing a smooth transition to the actual fender and filling those rivet indention areas. There is a fiberglass reinforced resin that works nicely. By the way, I side with the guys who believe that fiberglass flares on metal body panels can be bonded properly for long term. Some precautions need to be taken. Such as using a quality bond/adhesive/sealer, as well as rivots or bolts. Take your time with glassing over the seams and get all the air out. Use paint with a flexing agent. And make sure the car is solid, ie strut brace, stiffer suspension, etc. When I finish my flares completely, I'll try some pics. They're pretty radical. Unfortunatley, iwont be able to afford a quality paint job for a while.
t-tom
Zachb55 where did you get Garage Miya's picture at? I cant find the web site any more. That has got to be one of the cleanest Z's in the world!
Guest Zachb55
It was probably on some other enthusiast's page, i have some other pics of it, it is certainly a beautiful car, i love it, even though im not a huge fan of the G-Nose, it is still sweet, especially with those flares. -Zach
