Guest kcambron
Anyone that owns a Z knows about RUST but I have not heard anyone talk about navel gelly to remove rust. Is it any good? any experience with it? I have been looking at several different products, POR-15, Zero Rust. Thanks, Kevin
Guest Anonymous
David Karey was using Naval Jelly.... About any automotive paint shop will carry a chemical product called "ospho". The same stuff that is the backbone of the POR15 line of products.Take the rust down as far as you can..spray on the ospho to chemically convert the remaining rust, wash off and paint with a catalyst hardened epoxy primer
auxilary
i used it on my front hubs as they had massive surface rust i couldn't remove. just don't use it on bare metal. it works same principle as por15, making/converting rust into a safe sandable surface, but it's not a paint equivalent. make sure to use paint over naval jelly
