denny411
I`ve noticed that the edge of the bumper, where it meets the body is a little rough, and has a pretty uneven gap. Those of you who have installed these on your cars, How did you fill or blend the gap between the body and the bumper?
Guest gerryG
I had the same problem. I noticed the bumper was flexible enough to allow the sides to pull in so I stuck a new line from the Ell at the rear of the car gradually getting wider until I cleared out all of the roughness. I used a 3" air driven cutoff wheel and went down the new line. You could do the same with a dremel tool - it would just take longer. I pulled the sides in a made a new mounting bracket from 1x1 1 1/8" aluminum angle - just glued it to the bumper. used side of garage and broom sticks to force sides in until glue set. it worked - not to clear in this photo though http://zdriver.com/rides/detailride.php?cat=2&relIdx=0&vehId=109 ps I cut off the lower section -- just keeping the bumper - both front and rear. Too many people telling me "nice Camero / firebird" ugh!!
Guest greimann
Here is what I did. The rubber trim is the edge trim from an old set of headlight covers. If you don't have that, you can get some rubber edge trim from a place like McMaster-Carr Rubber Edge Trim
